Over the past year, the terror of the corona virus has devastated the lives of many, the lockdown has taken a heavy toll on the economy, researchers have been working day and night to eradicate the corona outbreak, and their efforts have been truly successful today.

Corona vaccination has started in the country from today and health workers and paramedical staff are being vaccinated against corona. In the first phase, health department officials and employees will be vaccinated. In the second phase, sanitation workers, senior citizens were vaccinated.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked all the people of the country for launching the largest vaccination campaign in the world, adding that the cost of vaccination of health workers, security personnel and police would be borne by the central government.

The COVID-19 vaccination drive began in Maharashtra on Saturday along with the rest of the country. Dr Ranjit Mankeshwar, Dean, JJ Hospital, in Mumbai and Dr Padmaja Saraf were among the first beneficiaries to receive the vaccine shots in Mumbai and at Jalna civil hospital, respectively.

The inoculation drive is taking place at 285 centres in Maharashtra where 100 healthcare workers will be administered the shots in a day, and cover 28,500 workers, an official said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched nation-wide COVID-19 vaccination drive via video conference today and almost three lakh beneficiaries, belonging to the priority groups, will be administered the silver bullet at over 3,006 vaccination sites across the country. Around 100 beneficiaries will be vaccinated at each session site.
