Bengaluru: Stones pelted at Chennai-Mysuru Vande Bharat train, two windows damaged

A shocking incident of stone pelting on Vande Bharat Express has come to light. This time this incident has happened in Karnataka. Stones pelted on Chennai-Mysuru Vande Bharat Express in Bangalore.
Two windows were damaged in the stone pelting on the train on Saturday. The incident took place between Krishnarajpur and Bangalore Cantonment railway station. The Railway Police is conducting further investigation in this matter.
According to ANI, no one was injured in the stone pelting. Railway police have registered a case. However, no one has been arrested in this case yet.
20608 Mysore-Chennai 'Vande Bharat Express' two coach windows were damaged, South Western Railway said. There have been several incidents of stone pelting on Vande Bharat Express in recent times.
There have been 21 incidents of stone pelting on trains in January and 13 in February in Bangalore section of South Western Railway. Many similar incidents have been reported in other parts of the country.
On November 11 last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the semi-high-tech Mysore-Chennai Vande Bharat train. This train runs six days a week. The train departs from Chennai Central Station at 5:50 AM and reaches Mysore at 12:30 PM.
Earlier, stones were also pelted on the Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat Express train. At that time train was passing through Mehbubabad district of Telangana. The window panes were broken by stone pelting. No one was injured in the stone pelting.
Last month, stones were also pelted on the Howrah-bound Vande Bharat Express at Malda in West Bengal. This incident took place on January 2. Then a day later i.e. on January 3, a case of stone pelting on the Vande Bharat train coming from Darjeeling came to light.
On January 20, stones were pelted on the Vande Bharat train from New Jalpaiguri to Howrah. While security measures are being taken by the railway administration, incidents of stone pelting on Vande Bharat trains are not ready to stop. A Hindi website has reported about this.
Several, opposition leaders have been requesting the Narendra Modi-led central government for launching the semi hi-speed Vande Bharat Express trains in their respective constituencies, ANI quoted a senior Railways official.
We are in receipt of requests from several MPs and MLAs. As of now out of 64 requests, more than 15 have come from those from opposition parties or opposition-ruled states," he said.
While the Railway department expressed grave concern over the incidents of hurling stones at the train in the division of Bengaluru, they warned such an offence will invite a non-bailable offence.
