Situated in the North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal, Petrapole railway station is positioned close to the Indo-Bangladesh border. It plays a significant role as a transit point for the trade of commodities between India and Bangladesh. If you wish to travel by the Bandhan Express, which begins its journey from Kolkata station and halts at Petrapole station before entering Bangladesh, you need to possess a valid visa and passport.

The Haldibari railway station, located around 4.5 km from the Bangladesh border, serves as a transit point for travellers. It is linked to Bangladesh via the Chilhati railway station which is approximately 7 km from the Indian border. The Haldibari-Chilahati railway line was launched in December 2020, and on 26th March 2021, the Mitali Express was introduced, which stops at Haldibari before continuing its journey to Dhaka. The train commences its journey from the New Jalpaiguri Junction.

This railway station is located in the Malda district of West Bengal and only one passenger train passes through the old Malda station. Despite this, the border railway station is significant for the import and export of goods between the two regions. Rohanpur station connects it to Bangladesh, and goods trains from Bangladesh also use this station to reach Nepal.

The railway station situated in the Madhubani district of Bihar is in close proximity to the Indo-Nepal border, being only 4 km away from the neighbouring country. This border station is connected to Nepal through the Kurtha station located in Jankapur. An inter-country passenger train operates between these two stations, and the train services have recently resumed. The best part is that the passengers travelling between these two countries do not require passports or visas to board the train.

It serves as a crucial transportation hub for the export and import of goods between India's Assam and Bihar states and Bangladesh. Biral railway station is connected to this border railway station in Bangladesh. Radhikapur railway station, situated in the North Dinajpur district of West Bengal, falls under the Katihar division.
