Indian Railways: India is one of the six countries who produces the most powerful railway engines

Most Powerful Locomotive: You've probably seen the railway engine before. The railway engine is one of the most powerful engines in the world. But do you know where these engines are made and which country produces the world's most powerful railway engines? You will be proud to know that India is also among the countries that make the most powerful railway engines in the world.

A rail engine with a capacity of 12,000 horsepower has been manufactured in India under Make in India. There are only six countries where 12000 HP engines are manufactured, including India.

Apart from India, 12,000 horsepower capacity railway engines are manufactured in Russia, China, France, Germany, and Sweden. At present, the railway locomotives in India are being manufactured in collaboration with a French company. These are made in the electric locomotive factory in Madhepura.

The engine speed of 120 kmph: so far, 100 such powerful railway locomotives have been made in the country, and now 800 more engines will be made. For the first time in the world, only India has run this powerful rail engine, WAG 12B, on a broad gauge railway line.

It also features GPS with the help of which this engine can be tracked anywhere. This engine can run at a speed of 120 kilometres per hour. With this, the average speed and load-carrying capacity of freight trains in India are improving.

The axle load can be increased up to 25 tonnes; the engines made in Madhepura are of twin bo-bo design. The axle load of this train engine is 22.5 tonnes, which can be increased up to 25 tonnes. This engine can carry goods at high altitudes. If there are any defects in the master loco, the power of the slave loco can be worked out.

If the load is reduced, one of the two engines can also be turned off. It has a length of 35 metres and is fitted with two MR tanks with a 1000-litre compressor capacity. This engine is capable of handling long-distance loads with ease.
