New Year 2022: Here’s what is going to be costlier from Jan 1 after the new GST rule

There are only a days left until the start of the new year 2022. Many may have decided what to do in the new year. However, it should be noted that the burden on the pocket will increase. Because from January 1, many things are going to be expensive.

From January 1, 12 per cent GST will be imposed on clothing and footwear. Earlier, only 5 per cent GST was levied on readymade garments and footwear. Apart from this, if you book a rickshaw from Ola or Uber app, you will be charged 5% GST on it.

India Post Payment Bank (IPPB) account holders will have to pay a limited cash withdrawal and deposit fee from January 1. 4 cash withdrawals per month will be free on savings accounts. Thereafter, every withdrawal will be charged at 0.50%. These charges are low.

The central government has now approved vaccination of children in the age group of 15 to 18 years. Vaccination campaign will start from January 3. Prior to that, from January 1, children between the ages of 15 and 18 will have to register on the Covin app for vaccination. Also, school as well as college.

Cricket matches will be available on Amazon Prime Video from January 1. Also, ATM transactions will be charged. In addition, auto or cab bookings through Ola and Uber will become more expensive from January 1.

GST on cancer drugs, fortified rice and biodiesel has been reduced from 18 per cent to 5 per cent.
