In the complaint, the groom said that he reached the wedding venue in Kolar Road area of Bhopal to get married on Thursday but the wedding venue was locked. 6 / 10After this, they tried to contact the bride and her family but their mobile phones were switched off.7 / 10As per the initial investigation, it has been found that three people were running this entire gang. Their addresses were traced through their phone numbers and all three have been arrested.8 / 10These people used to target those districts where it was difficult for men to find suitable brides. Accused used to give their mobile numbers on which people used to contact for fixing up the marriage following which they were asked to reach Bhopal. 9 / 10On reaching Bhopal, one of the gang members used to introduce the accused woman as the bride. When the men liked the woman, 20,000 rupees were taken from them,' Bhupendra Singh said.10 / 10Earlier, in another incident in the state, a techie hubby married twice within 5 days, alleges first wife. The ‘first-wife’ who is a resident of Bajarang Chowk in Khandwa—alleged that has married two women, within a span of five-day and then fled, police said on Sunday. She alleged that he married her (in Khandwa) first and after a few days he married another woman in Mhow.
