Workers stranded in other states amid the Corona epidemic are facing considerable difficulties to get to their home state. Desperate people are forced to go by foot, bicycle and truck while waiting for special trains by the government.
Hundreds of thousands of kilometers away, stranded workers are walking with their families to their homes. However, in the meantime, these workers are facing many problems.
Coronavirus cases are on the rise in India with lockdown 4.0 in place. People across the state have lost their daily source of livelihood especially the migrants and daily wage workers.
Helpless daily wage are also traveling hundreds of kilometers to their homes by bicycle with their families.
People are travelling in trucks. The government should pay attention to the fact that there will be more risk of infection.
Workers settled in many cities including Mumbai and Hyderabad are not getting means. In this case, they are going home in a truck.
The death toll from COVID-19 in the country has risen to 2,872 in the last 24 hours with another 120 deaths. In the same period, 4,987 new cases of infection came to light after which the total number of cases increased to 90,927 on Sunday morning. The Union Health Ministry said the figures were released on Saturday.
A senior health ministry official said, "About 37.51 per cent of the patients have recovered so far." There are more than 10,000 cases of infection in the three states, with Maharashtra having the highest number of 30,706 cases.
