All you need to know about the KTM 990 Duke

KTM has unveiled the new 990 Duke, which uses a 947cc parallel-twin engine that's derived from the 890 Duke R’s 889cc twin-cylinder motor.
The new 990 Duke will be the new middle-weight motorcycle, while the 790 Duke will continue to be on sale to cater to those wanting a slightly subtle Duke.
The 990 features a unique headlight design with four DRLs surrounding the headlight, with a hollow design inbetween. The motorcycle features large, angular tank shrouds and is based on a new frame.
Moving on to the next best bit, the engine. Powering the motorcycle is a 947cc parallel twin engine that makes 123bhp and 103Nm of torque, mated to a six-speed gearbox.
The motorcycle gets a bi-directional quickshifter as standard, while there is long list of electronic aids. The new 990 Duke gets three ride modes, wheelie control, traction control, switchable ABS, lean sensitive ABS, launch control, and cruise control. All these aids can be accessed via the left switchgear, which is similar to the new 390 Duke.
