The teenager used scraps of Royal Enfield to create the e-bike.2 / 6Rajan, a student of Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya located in Subhash Nagar, spent about Rs 45,000 to convert the Royal Enfield bike into an e-bike. The vehicle will be able to run for 100 kilometers on single charge, the teenager claimed.3 / 6Rajan first started experimenting on e-cycles during the lockdown that was imposed in the city in view of the Covid-19 pandemic.4 / 6 He was able to create an e-cycle and ride it successfully. Unfortunately, he fell from the bike and got injured. 5 / 6Following the incident, Rajan’s father, Dashrath Sharma put his foot down and prohibited him from making e-bikes again.6 / 6However, Rajan was unable to suppress his interest in e-bikes and lied to his father that the school has given a project about making an e-bike. Dashrath Sharma was worried about the so-called school project as he works at a private company and does not earn much. He initially refused but later agreed after Rajan kept on insisting.
