Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi on Monday said that he is concerned about the growing population in Bihar, the state government not only trained the people living in quarantine centers in health, yoga etc. and mapped their skills, but also provided them with family planning advice while leaving. Related information and contraceptives were also provided. While 2.14 lakh condoms were distributed in April and 15.39 lakh condoms were distributed in May when the number of visitors to the quarantine center increased. Sushil Kumar Modi said that the population of Bihar is increasing by 25 per cent during each decade.

The Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar said that in order to achieve the goal of population stabilization, front line ASHA workers and those going home after completing the 14-day quarantine period during the house-to-house survey of corona infection by NNM were made aware about family planning. And those in need were provided with two packets of condoms. About 11 lakh daily and emergency contraceptive pills were also distributed to the eligible couples as per their wishes.
