New Delhi, April 15 Slamming the government over plight of labourers and workers of the unorganised sector due to lockdown, the Congress, here on Wednesday, said it should focus on the economic crisis.

"The government has failed to share an economic blueprint for the 48 crore labourers, for 6 crore MSME workers, and salaried class, who were facing job layoffs due to closing of businesses," said Congress spokesperson Jaiveer Shergill.

Along with the event management, the government should also focus on the economic crisis to ensure that people survived the 'Income down, business down, jobs down' virus along with the coronavirus, he added.

The Congress leader said the government should have introduced fiscal vaccine to combat the economic recession virus along with the administrative lockdown guidelines.

"Where is the blueprint to help migrant labourers, to help those losing jobs, to help those unable to pay bank EMI/loan interests," he tweeted.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) seemed to have turned a blind eye to the economic recession storm dismantling the fiscal structure and fiscal balance of every household, he said.
