Thiruvananthapuram, April 22 Hours after giving a call to the people of Kerala to seriously start engaging in some sort of farming/agriculture activities, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan led from the front and did his bit.

On Wednesday morning, he along with his wife Kamala and their son Vivek was seen planting saplings - just what he told the people to do at his press conference on Tuesday night.

He gave this call to make sure that in case things take a turn for the worse on account of Covid-19, one should have at least food in the kitty.

Vijayan planted a tapioca (often referred to as the staple food of yesteryears Keralites) stick and a hybrid variety of beans at his official residence Cliff House here.
