Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday.

Earlier in the day, he called on President Ram Nath Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

President Kovind had on July 6 appointed new governors in eight states - Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Tripura, Jharkhand, Mizoram, Goa, and Karnataka.
