Transfers in J&K administration

Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, G C Murmu on Tuesday ordered transfers and new postings in the civil administration. Pandurang Kondbarao Pole, Secretary to the Government, Department of Food, Civil, Supplies and Consumer Affairs, was appointed as the Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir.

Srinagar, March 17 Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, G C Murmu on Tuesday ordered transfers and new postings in the civil administration. Pandurang Kondbarao Pole, Secretary to the Government, Department of Food, Civil, Supplies and Consumer Affairs, was appointed as the Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir.

Pole replaces Baseer Ahmad Khan, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir who has been appointed as the advisor to Lt. Governor G.C. Murmu. Khan was given an extension of service for a period of one year last year beyond June 30, 2019, the date of their superannuation, after the state government request.

The J&K government has also ordered transfers and postings of five other officers.

Asgar Hassan Samoon, Principal Secretary to the Government has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary to the Government, School Education Department. He has been asked to continue to hold the charge of Administrative Secretary, Transport Department, in addition to his own duties, till further orders.

Shalinder Kumar, Chief Electoral Officer has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary to the Government, Social Welfare Department. He has been also asked to be Officer on Special Duty in the Public Works (R&B) Department.

He shall hold the additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Public Works (R&B) Department, upon the retirement on superannuation of Khurshid Ahmad Shah, IAS on April 30, 2020.

Navin Kumar Choudhary has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary to the Government, Animal and Sheep Husbandry Department. He has also been asked to hold the additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Agriculture and Horticulture Departments, upon the retirement on superannuation of Manzoor Ahmad Lone, IAS on March 312020.

Simrandeep Singh has been asked to hold the charge of Administrative Secretary, Department of Food, Civil, Supplies and Consumer Affairs, in addition to his own duties, till further orders.

Babila Rakwal has been transferred and posted as Vice-Chairman, Jammu Development Authority, relieving Avny Lavasa, IAS, Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation of the additional charge of the post.

Mussarat-ul-Islam, Director, Handicrafts, J&K, has been asked to hold the charge of the post of Director, Handlooms, in addition to his own duties, till further orders.

Syed Abid Rasheed Shah has been asked to also hold the additional charge of the Chief Executive Officer, J&K Economic Reconstruction Agency.
