Pune, Maharashtra (April 17, 2025): The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has issued a warning to citizens regarding fraudulent messages claiming that their water connections will be disconnected if pending bills are not paid. The civic body clarified that such messages are not being sent by the PMC and urged residents not to fall for these scams.
In the last two to three days, several citizens have reported receiving text messages stating that their water connections will be cut off due to unpaid bills. Complaints regarding these messages have been received by the PMC’s water supply department.
