A shocking and horrifying incident has took place in Pune's Hadapsar area, where man allegedly committed unnatural act with dog. The accused came to light after CCTV footage from the premises revealed the heinous crime. Police took swift action against him and has arrested accused 20-year-old Halimuddin Shaikh, a native of West Bengal currently residing in Sundar Society, Handewadi. He was arrested after dog's owner, Chandrashekar Yadav (41), filed a complaint at the Kalepadal Police Station.
As per Pune mirror report the incident reportedly occurred around 11:30 PM on March 26 while Yadav was away in his native village, leaving his five-year-old dog, Penny, behind at home.
Yadav, upon reviewing CCTV footage, discovered the crime and immediately reported it to the police. Police verified the footage, identified, and arrested the suspect, who confessed during interrogation. Senior Police Inspector Mansingh Patil of Kalepadal Police Station confirmed that police acted swiftly after being alerted by citizens, including Shiv Sena member Rajesh Palaskar.
The accused was identified as a West Bengal native through document verification. A case has been registered under the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) and the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960, with Police Sub Inspector Ratandeep Gaikwad leading the investigation.
