Pune, Maharashtra (April 14, 2025): Three masked and armed men created panic in the Sidra Garden Cooperative Housing Society in Dhanori during the early hours of Tuesday, April 8, 2025. Dressed in black and carrying weapons resembling machetes, the suspects were seen moving suspiciously within the society premises between 4 am and 5 am. The CCTV footage clearly captured their movements.
Following the incident, residents filed a complaint at the Vishrantwadi Police Station and also approached the Pune Police Commissioner. The complaint stated that the armed intruders attempted to enter one of the flats illegally, sparking fear among the residents.
This is not the first such incident in Pune. In recent months, similar cases of young men brandishing machetes and terrorising residential areas have been reported. In one case, assailants struck doors with sharp weapons, causing widespread fear.
The latest incident in Dhanori has once again raised serious concerns about the safety of housing societies in the city. Residents said growing cases of intrusion and armed threats have created an atmosphere of fear and uncertainty.
