Pune: Police Constable Suspended for Celebrating Birthday with Criminals Outside Station in Viral Video (Watch)

A police constable in Pune, identified as Pravin Patil, has been suspended following the circulation of a viral video that showed him celebrating his birthday in front of the Sangvi Police Station. The video, which rapidly spread across social media platforms, depicts the constable cutting a birthday cake on the street late at night. Disturbingly, reports suggest that the celebration was not a quiet, private affair.

Numerous individuals, including known criminals, were seen in attendance during the event. What caught the attention of authorities and the public even more was the use of a drone to capture the celebration, raising concerns over the lack of professionalism and security protocols. The presence of criminals at the scene further fueled the outrage, as it was seen as a serious breach of duty for a police constable to be involved in such a gathering. In response to the controversy, the Pune Police Department launched an investigation into the matter.
