A shocking incident took place at Pune Railway Station, where 77-year-old man dies after tragically falling from an escalator. The deceased identified as Ashok Prabhakar Deshpande, was on his way to Nagpur to meet his family. Deshpande, burdened with luggage, boarded a moving escalator ahead of his family, he lost his balance and fell, sustaining critical injuries. Eyewitnesses report a disturbing lack of immediate assistance. 

As per Pune Pulse report the Victim was admitted to Sassoon General Hospital in critical condition and was later shifted to a private hospital for specialized care. Despite of medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries after nine days.

Sandhya Deshpande recounted the traumatic experience, saying she screamed for help, her voice echoing unanswered until, after a delay, two strangers and eventually two railway policemen responded.
