This change in weather is due to the activation of a western cyclonic circulation from the Himalayas to Northern India, along with the formation of a low-pressure belt over Tamil Nadu. These meteorological conditions have triggered unseasonal rains across the country, affecting regions from the northeast to central India, central Maharashtra, and the southern states. The unseasonal rainfall is expected to continue until April 4, bringing a noticeable drop in temperatures. In the meantime, on Tuesday, April 1, a cyclonic circulation formed between Marathwada and central Maharashtra. A cyclonic trough line at 0.9 km above sea level has developed, stretching from southern Chhattisgarh through central Maharashtra, Vidarbha, and Marathwada. As a result, moderate to heavy rainfall is forecasted across Maharashtra on Wednesday, April 2.
