Pune Road Accident: 22-Year-Old Student Dies After Being Hit by Dumper in Lohagaon
A dumper hit a two-wheeler rider on D. Y. Patil College Road near Pune's Lohegaon. A 22-year-old youth died in it. The incident took place around 12 noon on Monday. The name of the deceased youth is Swapnil Prakash Salve (age 22).
The information given by the police in this regard is that Swapnil Salve, after completing his college in Dudulgaon, was going to Kesanand via D. Y. Patil College on a motorcycle (MH 14, MD 6357). At that time, a dumper (MH 12 RM 4558) passing in front of Hindustan Kirana, Mozenagar Lane No. 3 hit him. He was found under the rear wheels and died on the spot. The dumper driver, Venkat Gurappa Pawar (Res. Khandve Niwas, Nirgudi Road, Lohegaon), fled. However, the police found him.
According to information, Swapnil is a resident of his native village Yavat (Tal. Daund, Dist. Pune). He was studying B.Pharm at Gyanvilas College of Pharmacy Dudulgaon. He was living with friends in Kesanand. He was working in a medical college in Chandannagar. Kesanand to Dudulgaon is his usual route every day. He is shocked to hear that he died suddenly after being hit by a dumper.
In this case, on the complaint of Madhav Dhondiba Sable (age 53, resident of MIDC Dongre Vasti Nighoj Chakan), a case has been registered against dumper driver Venkat Gurappa Pawar at night under Section 106, 281 MV 184 of the Indian Penal Code. Further investigation is being conducted by Airport Senior Police Inspector Ajay Sankeshwari, Sub-Inspector Akshay Sonawane, Chowki Anmaldar, Bit Marshal.
