In an attempt was made to break an HDFC Bank ATM in Benkar Vasti, Manjari area, under the limits of Hadapsar police station around midnight. Two unidentified thieves tried to break the panel of the ATM machine and steal it, but their plan was thwarted when the siren in the ATM blared, and they fled in fear. The incident took place on Sunday midnight.

According to further information, the thieves had broken the panel of the ATM machine, but as soon as the panel was broken, the siren started blaring loudly. Due to this, the citizens of the area woke up and the thieves fled from the spot. A case has been registered in this regard at Hadapsar police station, and the police have visited the spot and started an investigation based on the CCTV footage.

Both the thieves are absconding, and police teams have been dispatched to search for them. Police officials have appealed to the citizens to be vigilant and to contact the police immediately if they see any suspicious movement.
