In Pune’s Lohegaon region two students ordered a chocolate milkshake from a cafe at his home and found a dead rat in the milkshake. The consumer filed a complaint about it and the Airport police has registered a case against the cafe owner.

They ordered this milkshake on Valentine’s Day (February 14), one of them opened the container and drank the milkshake and found a dead rat at the bottom of the container. They said that they called the owner to complain about their order but the owner refused to accept it. After this they filed an official complaint against the cafe owner.

In his complaint, he claimed that the cafe's owner had not prepared the order with proper care, putting customer's lives at risk. Police Inspector Vijay Chandan of the Crime Branch and Senior Police Inspector Ajay Sankeshwari of the Airport Police Station visited the cafe. Police officer A. S. Adaling is looking into the complaint made by the students.

On investigating the matter the police found that the mouse bore some cuts so the mouse might have fallen into a blender and was then packaged into the container by the cafe's staff who did not see it while preparing the order.

A case has been filed under sections 125, 275, and 351 (2) of the Indian Penal Code.
