Pune: Truck Catches Fire Inside Khopoli Exit Tunnel on Mumbai-Pune Expressway, Causing Traffic Disruption (Watch Video)

A truck travelling on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway caught fire near the Khopoli exit tunnel in Pune in the early hours of Tuesday, March 4. The incident took place at around 2.45 AM, causing heavy traffic in the area.

A video shared by the news agency IANS shows a truck engulfed in a blaze. The smoke spread from the fire, reducing visibility in the area.

The fire bridge received a distress call at around 2 am and rushed to the spot to douse the blaze, along with the Khopoli firefighters team, IRB’s Devdoot team, and the Delta Force also reached the spot to handle the situation on a busy road.  However, the blaze was controlled after a struggle of two hours and no casualties or injuries were reported.
