Pune experiences rising temperatures, with Punekars feeling the intense heat. Daytime temperatures are soaring to 40 degrees Celsius, and nighttime temperatures are also climbing, indicating a hotter summer.
Afternoon outings are becoming difficult due to the intense sun and resulting sweat. Pune, like much of the state, is experiencing significantly higher temperatures, exceeding 40 degrees Celsius in many areas. Consequently, the Meteorological Department has issued a heat wave warning for Vidarbha, where temperatures have risen sharply.
A yellow alert for heat wave conditions has been issued for Yavatmal, Wardha, Nagpur, and Chandrapur districts. Temperatures in Akola, Amravati, Brahmapuri, Chandrapur, Nagpur, Wardha, Yavatmal, Malegaon, and Solapur have already surpassed 40 degrees Celsius. With continued temperature fluctuations predicted, experts advise citizens to hydrate adequately, wear light-colored clothing, and take necessary precautions when venturing outdoors.
