Pune, Maharashtra (April 9, 2025): Dinanath Mangeshkar Hospital in Pune faces allegations of prioritizing money over patient care. The controversy erupted after 27-year-old Tanisha Bhise, who was seven months pregnant, died due to alleged medical negligence on March 29. The incident has sparked widespread outrage across the state. Since May 5, political parties and organizations have been holding protests, demonstrations, and marches outside the hospital. These activities have caused difficulties for patients, their families, and hospital staff. Due to the disruptions, Joint Commissioner of Police Ranjankumar Sharma has issued prohibitory orders in the area.
According to police, the protests at the hospital’s main entrance have created fear among patients and relatives. The demonstrations have also led to traffic congestion, obstructing ambulance movement and causing inconvenience to visitors. Large crowds gathering outside the hospital have been chanting slogans and giving speeches, disrupting public peace.
