Netizens react to Yogi Adityanath's demand of converting nitrogen to oxygen
According to the Union Health Ministry, Uttar Pradesh is among the ten states that reported 73.71 per cent of the new cases in the country. Uttar Pradesh is among the ten states cumulatively accounting for 78.22 per cent of India's total active cases, as per the ministry. According to the data provided by the Union Health Ministry, Uttar Pradesh is among the ten states that account for 76.75 per cent of the new deaths in the country.
Amid the rising covid cases in the state, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to collaborate with technical institutes, including the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, to explore possibility of converting nitrogen into oxygen.
Various states in the country are facing shortage of oxygen amid the second wave of COVID-19. “The CM on Saturday said, the government should explore all possibilities of raising oxygen supply and look for alternatives. Officials should get in touch with experts from IIT Kanpur and other technical institutes and look at the possibility of converting nitrogen to oxygen,” said a government spokesperson.
Yogi's demand to explore possibility of converting nitrogen into oxygen didn't go down well with netizens and they took to Twitter to share their views on the statement released by the government spokesperson.

It's so simple, just give two bags of rice to nitrogen & it'll convert with the whole periodic table.
Why stop at nitrogen? Why not convert all elements into oxygen?!

From today nitrogen will be renamed as oxygen
No need of scientists for working on conversion of nitrogen to oxygen
Open in appThat's almost easy

Nitrogen atomic number = 7
Oxygen atomic number = 8
Just adding one proton and Nitrogen becomes Oxygen
How on earth not a single scientists was able to think of it
