Ranveer Allahbadia Row: Social Media Influencer Offers Rs 5 Lakh for BeerBiceps’ Tongue After His Remarks on India’s Got Latent Show
YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia is facing intense backlash over crass comments made on Samay Raina's show India's Got Latent. In a recent episode featuring comedian Samay Raina, YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani, and social media influencer Apoorva Makhija, Allahbadia asked a contestant, "Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once and stop it forever?"
The question was widely condemned as offensive and derogatory. The video was later removed from YouTube after the government issued a notice.
In response, social media influencer Faizan Ansari offered a ₹5 lakh cash reward to anyone who would cut off Allahbadia's tongue. In a video message, Ansari stated, "YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia has done something so disgusting that if I were there, I would have cut his tongue. I am so ashamed... Anyone who brings me his tongue, I will give a cash reward of ₹5 lakh."
Multiple police complaints were filed against him. Politicians cutting across party lines criticised the podcaster, who has 3.4 million followers on Instagram and 1.04 crore YouTube subscribers.
After the backlash, Allahbadia issued a public apology, calling his comments a "lapse of judgment." He said, "My comment wasn't just inappropriate, it wasn't even funny. Comedy is not my forte. I am just here to say sorry."
