Dassault Systemes goes bullish on science in experience age

In a bid to examine how science is being applied to life, nature and engineering to drive sustainable innovation, 3DExperience major Dassault Systemes organised its annual "Science in the Age of Experience" event here.

The two-day event at the Joseph B. Martin Conference Center at Harvard Medical School here saw eminent leaders from the global science community gather to deliberate on how science can help make our lives better, the company said in a statement.

The series of keynote addresses and discussions with academic, industry and government influencers explored transformational scientific contributions to better living, a sustainable planet and product innovation.

Bernard Charles, Vice Chairman and CEO, Dassault Systemes and Lisa Randall, physics professor, Harvard University discussed "how various fields of science have tackled human challenges through extremely careful measurements and simulations".

The other speakers included Genevieve Berger, Chief Research Officer, Firmenich; Neil Gershenfeld, Director, MIT's Center for Bits and Atoms; Ameet Nathwani, Chief Medical Officer, Sanofi and Bakul Patel, Director, Division of Digital Health, US Food and Drug Administration, among others.

The attendees also experienced how Dassault Systemes' 3DExperience platform is the catalyst and enabler of disruptive innovations in patient health, the future of medicine, taking care of our planet, and thermal comfort.

The 3DExperience major, which offers product lifecycle management (PLM) and 3D modelling software, simulation apps and industry solutions, has major clients in India, including car manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra, Volvo Asia, automobile firm Ashok Leyland, Hero, Royal Enfield, Renault and Aditya Birla Group, among others.
