Recovering a lost image or a video often proves to be hassle and there are times when we lose old WhatsApp photos and videos. However, you can download the required  data within 30 days of being deleted. After a month, the data disappears from the WhatsApp server. if the user has not deleted the entire chat then the photo can be downloaded again. For this, you have to open the chat and scroll to the photo that you want to download. After that you can save the photo or video again. Keep in mind that photos and videos can be withdrawn within 30 days of deletion.

Many times while downloading photos on our WhatsApp, a message appears which reads, 'Can't download, please ask  the user to send the media files? When such a message arrives, we will have to see whether the phone has an active internet connection or not. Also check the date and time of the phone to see if it is correct or not, because if the date is wrong, there is a problem connecting to the WhatsApp server. At times, there is an error on WhatsApp even when the phone has full storage. Meanwhile, android users can also enable auto-downloads, which saves all incoming images and videos from your chat directly to your smartphone storage, or they can choose to individually pick which pictures to save to their device.
