The Lokmat group has made a significant investment in the consumer electronic startup iAir Technologies. The company manufactures smart TVs, mobile phones and other accessories. Speaking about their new venture, Rishi Darda, Managing Director and Editorial Director of Lokmat Media said, "We see tremendous growth potential in smart TV sales, this will be fueled by better distribution channels, groeing aspirations of urban and rural india, and rise in the consumption of digital content on different platforms."

Ravinder Johar, founder and CEO of iAir Technologies was pleased with this new association and said that Lokmat Media will provide investment guidance in the sale and brand building of the products along with investing in iAir technologies. Continuing further he said, that the primary aim to make products available at affordable prices to the customers.

Newspapers from the Lokmat Media have a readership of 2.3 crore, the televison channel News 18 Lokmat reaches about 3 crore viewers a month. The company also boasts of about 2.5 crore unique users on its digital properties. Over the years, Lokmat has created various unique intellectual properties such as Lokmat Maharastrian of the Year, Lokmat Most Stylish Awards, Lokmat Sarpanch Awards, The World Orange Festival, Lokmat Women Summit, and Lokmat Parliamentarian Awards.
