Dombivli witnessed another fire incident on Wednesday, June 12, just 300 meters from the location of a previous fire incident in the MIDC area, where 10 people lost their lives due to a boiler blast at the factories. The blaze broke out at Indo Amines, a chemical company near Abhinav Vidyalay school.

"We have got to know the fire broke out at a chemical company named Indo Amines," Namdeo Chaudhari told LokmatTimes.com. Abhinav Vidyalay is just near to it. 7 to 8 fire tenders are at the spot.

According to the visuals shared by news agency ANI, the blaze is spreading to adjacent areas adjacent to the company's building. Firefighters and police were deployed at the incident site.

Authorities received reports of the fire at around 10:05 AM on Wednesday. Police officers and an ambulance from Manpada Police Station are on-site. Firefighters from Dombivli MIDC, Kalyan, Palava MIDC, and Thane are actively working to extinguish the blaze. Six fire vehicles, including high-rise equipment, are currently deployed at the scene.

According to eyewitnesses, around 45 to 50 employees were working with Indo-Amines Company in a single shift. In 2022, a massive blaze erupted at the Metro company, which is behind the Indo Mines company. The company made use of dangerous and hazardous chemicals and used to operate in the night also.

Abhinav Vidyalaya is just 150 metres away from the fire spot. "As soon as we received the information about the fire, we immediately evacuated the students. We took them to a nearby ground. They were scared. Why such repeated incidents happening in MIDC area. Residents are facing trouble due to this. These companies should be shifted. What would happen if anything happened to the school?," Subhash Gaikwad, Assistant teacher at Abhinav Vidyalay, told LokmatTimes.com.

Vaishali Darekar, UBT Shiv Sena leader told LokmatTimes.com, "No responsible person was caught by the administration in the past. The govt wad busy in elections. MIDC administration is taking the matter very lightly. The police over is telling that workers in the company just ran away. Weren't the workers taught the safety measures. Even now, the fire is not under control. Administration is taking lives of the innocent in this dirty politics."

Balaji Darshan residential society Residents told LokmatTimes.com, "We are fed up of the constant blasts. Why give permsision to residents to live here despite promises to move the MIDC companies. We can't even sell the properties as no one is ready to come here. Companies release chemicals in the gutters which is not closed. The chemicals are flammable. This leads to fire."

Ninad Sarang, a resident of Balaji Darshan, said, "Companies release extremely dangerous chemicals in the midnight. We are facing water and electricity crisis and now the water tankers are being used for fire dousing. What kind of irony is this? Why we should face the brunt of administration?"

Hansika Shinde, 13 years old student said, "My parents are not at home. I was very scared. My parents go to job. Very loud noise came when fire break out. What should I do in emergency situations like this?"

The DNS- ice factory  Road where the fire erupted is one of the major connectivity  road to Kalyan Shilphata highway. It is mostly crowded. There is a nearby company in which boilers are present at  at significant numbers. Nearby schools Abhinav Vidyalaya, Omkar school, Sister Nivedita school.
