Thane Shocker: Youth Arrested for Allegedly Murdering Power Loom Owner Over Sexual Assault In Bhiwandi
In shocking incident, a loom owner in Bhiwandi was murdered by a 21-year-old for alleged sexual assault. This incident took place on Saturday when youth from Jaunpur attacked loom owner with a stone and a sharp weapon. The accused claimed he committed the crime after the victim allegedly demanded unnatural sex and used abusive language.
The accused identified as kajukumar Rajendra Ram, 21, originally from Kerakat village, Jaunpur district, Uttar Pradesh, has been identified as the accused. Ram, who lived with his father in Bhiwandi and worked in a power loom unit where he met the deceased, Farhad Eklakh Ahmad Shaikh, is alleged to have murdered Shaikh.Shaikh was reported missing on April 12 after leaving home to meet a caterer in Bhiwandi and failing to return. His family filed a missing person complaint with the Shantinagar Police. On April 16, his decomposed body was discovered in an isolated area of Karivli, Bhiwandi. CCTV footage showed Shaikh riding with a pillion passenger, later identified as Ram, towards Karivli. Shaikh's motorcycle was traced to the Bhoiwada Police Station area.

A Thane Crime Branch Unit Two team, led by Senior Police Inspector Janardhan Sonawane, arrested Ram in Jaunpur based on technical intelligence. After obtaining transit remand, Ram was brought to Bhiwandi, presented in court, and remanded to police custody. During interrogation, Ram confessed to the crime, claiming Shaikh abused him and demanded sexual favors, provoking the attack.Investigators also discovered Ram was using Shaikh's mobile phone and had sent a WhatsApp message to a family member demanding ransom.
