Thane, Maharashtra (March 17, 2025): Water supply to Kalwa, Mumbra, and Diva areas under the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) will be suspended for 24 hours due to urgent repair work at the Jambhul water treatment plant of the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC).
The shutdown will begin at 12 a.m. on Monday, March 17, 2025, and last until 12 a.m. on Tuesday, March 18, 2025. The disruption will affect supply between Katai and Thane. Water is expected to resume once the repair work is completed, but residents may experience low pressure for a few hours after restoration.
TMC has advised residents to store sufficient water in advance and avoid wastage. The civic body urged people to take precautions and be mindful of water usage until supply returns to normal.
