IBM already supports OpenShift on its Power Systems and Storage," said the company."IBM is unleashing its software from the data center to fuel the enterprise workload race to the cloud. This will further position IBM the industry leader in the more than $1 trillion dollar hybrid cloud opportunity," said Arvind Krishna, senior vice president, Cloud and Cognitive Software, IBM.BM's cloud revenue has grown from four per cent of total revenue in 2013 to 25 per cent today. IBM cloud revenue for the 12-month period through the first quarter of this year grew to over $19 billion.Red Hat's fiscal year 2019 revenue was $3.4 billion, up 15 percent year-over-year."Red Hat is unlocking innovation with Linux-based technologies, including containers and Kubernetes, which have become the fundamental building blocks of hybrid cloud environments," added Jim Whitehurst, president and CEO, Red Hat.( With inputs from IANS )
