Australia pacer Peter Siddle has ended his 15-year long association with Victoria and has signed a 2 year deal with Tasmania. Peter Siddle signs new deal with Tasmania for 2020-21 season. The 35-year-old retired from international cricket in December last year and is making a late career switch to "play good cricket" and "develop coaching skills further.""My greatest goal is to come to Tasmania and play good cricket, while hopefully winning a few games which will be my biggest aim," Siddle told Cricket Tasmania. "There's a few players down here that I've played a lot of cricket with, and there's a bunch of younger players that I'm looking forward to playing alongside.Siddle who represented Australia in 67 tests snaring 221 wickets has won two Sheffield Shield titles, a One-Day title and a T20 Big Bash title with Victoria and was also named the club's One-Day Player of the Season in 2017-18. Cricket Victoria extended their best wishes to Siddle for his services. Cricket Victoria’s General Manager of Cricket Shaun Graf said Siddle had been a fantastic member of the squad over many years and a role model for teammates and young cricketers. “Peter has always been the ultimate professional in the way he prepares for playing at the highest level.
