Aurangabad, May 30:The share of farmers, state government and central government for rabi and kharif seasons crop insurance in the state is about Rs 5,800 crore. Out of this, according to the statistics so far, compensation of Rs 1000 crore has been paid to the farmers. This means that indirectly, Rs 4,800 crore has been laundered by the companies, which is a very serious matter, said state agriculture minister Dadaji Bhuse to the reporters here on Sunday.He was speaking at a press conference after the kharif season crop review meeting at the collector office. "There is a demand for soybean seeds and urea fertilizers and care is being taken not to provide sufficient supply," Bhuse said, adding that there were many complaints about crop insurance. A team of senior level officials will be sent to Aurangabad district to inquire into the complaints of minister of state Sattar and take strict action against the culprits. Insurance companies have so far paid Rs 1,000 crore in damages and Rs 4,800 crore. Correspondence has been going on for the last ten months regarding the announcement of the nature of insurance to the union government. Last time, no insurance company was ready to work in Beed district. We have requested the central government to implement the 80: 110 model implemented in Beed district. Crop insurance is a very complicated subject. The insurance companies are working as per the instructions of the central government. Crop insurance is optional. After excluding the share of farmers, the center must keep the responsibility at 50 per cent share instead of 30 per cent. But the center shifted the responsibility of 30 per cent premium to the state government. The central government has shirked its responsibility. In this regard, inquiries will be made at all levels. He also said that all these cases would be investigated in depth. Horticulture minister Sandeepan Bhumre, Minister of state Abdul Sattar, MLC Ambadas Danve, Ramesh Bornare, collector Sunil Chavan, ZP CEO Dr Mangesh Gondawale were present.Culprits will be prosecutedAgriculture minister Bhuse said that fertilizers have been sold at exorbitant rates. A demand will be made to the central government to get back the excess amount taken from the farmers. Record-wise action will be taken against those who sold old stock at higher prices. All transactions will be scrutinized. The culprits will be prosecuted. Fertilizer prices and concessions are not a matter of politics.
