A case has been registered against an accused for killing a dog in the Juhu area of Mumbai. The Juhu Police initiated action after investigating a complaint filed by PETA India. The accused, identified as Devendra Dev, is now being pursued by the police. According to a Juhu police officer, preliminary investigations have revealed evidence that the dog was brutally beaten with an iron rod by the accused, which led to its death during treatment.Officials at the Juhu Police Station reported that the incident took place on the morning of October 6. According to the complaint lodged by Jay Shankar Sareen, 56, the family heard the dog's cries early in the morning while it was being beaten with an iron rod in the Juhu Scheme area. The complainant and his family rushed downstairs from their building and found the dog lying on the road, severely injured. With the help of local residents, the complainant took the injured dog in his car to a veterinarian in the Andheri area. Unfortunately, the dog succumbed to its injuries during treatment.Following the dog's death, the accused posted on his social media, admitting to the killing. After this admission, the complainant filed a case at the Juhu Police Station.
