While it finished at 12th in women's wrestling, in Greco-Roman India ended at the 15th spot.This edition also saw an improvement from 2018 where India won a solitary silver medal through Ravi Kumar Dahiya. Also of note was the fact that nine wrestlers made it to the quarter-finals with three each in freestyle, Greco-Roman and women's wrestling.
