With the Assembly election fast approaching, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday tasked the party MPs from Uttar Pradesh (UP) to engage in public service works in their constituencies to understand the problems of people and solve them.On the second day of the two-day meeting at Delhi Constitution Club, BJP asked MPs to run public awareness campaigns and make people aware of the work done by the government.Unnao MP Sakshi Maharaj, who attended the meeting with party national president JP Nadda on the second day said leadership instructed the MPs to engage in public service."Because only politics is not the goal of the party, politics has to be done. Service is the motto of the organisation. It is our task to serve society, take everyone along, go to the booth level, worry about who is not getting ration, and worry about who is not getting medicine. We are instructed to do all this," he said.Union Minister of State Pankaj Choudhary, who is also MP from UP's Maharajganj said the discussions on day two were along the same lines as on the first day."This is the election year.
