Aurangabad, Feb 9:The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) commissioner A K Pandey pinned hope that the city would shine in the list of top 10 cities in the Cleanliness Survey 2021, if the sanitary inspectors, jawans and workers render quality services and earn the positive feedback from the citizens in large number. To achieve the goal, the civic personnel (all grade) should interact with the citizens in their work jurisdiction and apprise them about the importance of garbage management.Pandey was addressing a programme organise to train the sanitary staff for Swach Sarvekshan 2021 and starting of Swachhata Premier League (SPL) at Maulana Azad Research Centre today. Head of solid waste management cell Nandkishore Bhombe, CARPE's Natasha Zarine, Gauri Mirashi, ward officers, AMC's sanitary inspectors and jawans and garbage lifting contractor - Reddy Company's employees participated in the programme.Pandey underlined that the Citizens Feedback in the solid waste management process would help to score 1800 marks in the Cleanliness Survey. Considering the importance of every employee or personnel relating to the cleanliness should focus on it.The civic chief also mentioned that the issue of garbage processing had been resolved. However, there is a dire need to focus on segregation of garbage at source. Each sanitary inspector should present a list of 100 citizens, who hand over the garbage to AMC by segregating at their doorstep. In the next SPL programme, we will felicitate them by presenting an appreciation certificate and five kgs of compost fertiliser, said Pandey.The civic chief also feted the rag-pickers, sanitary employees, inspectors, drivers, Reddy Co. personnel for their outstanding contribution from October to December 2020. Each of them was presented with an appreciation certificate and 2 kgs of compost fertiliser.
